Divining time for Kriya

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Making time for Kriya is beneficial. Setting aside time is essential. Waking up early or going to bed later are important ways to devot time to Kriya and Yoga practice.

Although not readily known why it is said that early morning and late evening are some of the most auspicious times to perfom Kriya.

Quite likely the currents of energy and meditational experiences are greater when there is quiet.

While not overly important the time involved in daily practice should be split most correctly into no more than five subtimes.

These five subtimes are: Early morning 4:30 to 6:30 am, afternoon 12:00 to 1:00pm, evening 8:30-12:00am, and 12am to 4:30 am. The fifth time which is mostly beneficial for mantra and some light bandas or tantrika is any time within the day.

Setting up a conscious effort to maximize time spent in those essential times for Kriya develops more heightened experiences, greater conscious absportion and better development of conscious expansion.

Sri Yukteswar quote

Monday, March 14th, 2011

“Attachment is blinding; it lends an imaginary halo of attractiveness to the object of desire. ”

All matter is transient. One may then question why desire something that holds not weight?

One may search for more money, more cars, bigger houses, more beautiful body, sexier friends, or even larger more volumious books (information), but it is not until one has reached Nirvikalpa Samadhi or the inner divine union with Source that things before thought to be important become second to the bliss of union with Source.

A simple way to experience what this bliss feels like is to master the following pranayama Kriya. Sitting comfortably with tongue rolled up and back to the back of the throat, begin to inhale while mentally focusing on the sound of the in and out breath.

By breathing in an listening to the sound of the rushing air coming into the back of the throat, focus on the sound for the entire inbreath and outbreath. Exagerate the in breath and out breath. Repeate this no less than 16 times in the morning and 16 times in the evening (starters no more than 32 in Am and 32 in pm).

The novice or first timer will notice a sense of peace, endurance, and even sense of increased vitality. This is the begining of the descent of bliss. As time practice of this technique deepens, eventually Samadhi or the ceasation of mental, and physical (even breathing and heart rate) will occur and bliss will ensue. This is the first step to Nirvikalpa Samadhi.

For those new to yoga or spiritual techniques this breathing techniques will do wonder for health, peace of mind, vitality, relaxation and even love of others. Although a basic pranayama technique it’s power is great for novice or expert, and has great potential to induce Samadhi.

Effective way Enter Soruba

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

The following is an effective way to enter Soruba Samadhi. Using pranayama counting of 1:5:1:5 where the first 1 is inspiration count (should be greater than 16 count), where the first 5 is 5 X (times) the insiration count as a hold (Samadhi). The second 1 is expiration count (equal to inspiration) and the second 5 is same as inspiration hold (Samadhi) or 5 X the expiration and inspiration count.

If the inspiration count was 20 then the holds (both inspiration and expiration) should be count of 100 and the expiration count should also be 20.

Finishing the expiration count will allow consciousness to elevate and reach that which is needed to enter Soruba.

Pranayama

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Kriya and Yoga is based on linking or yoking the spirit to Source (God). It is through Kriyas (pranayama) that kundalini the inner divine consciousness becomes moved from lower states to higher states.

By practicing an inbreath and outbreath as detailed in the Advanced, Basic or Abundance eCourse at www.avatarbabaji.com you not only are practicing something that may seem like deep breathing but you are revolving kundalini or consciousness throughout the subtle energy centers of the spine (chakras).

By doing one repetition (in and out breath as detailed in the basic course) you advanced your consciousness 1 conscious year. In the way of teaching, by practicing 16 repetitions in the am and 16 in the pm you will advance 32 conscious years (wisdom, realization, powers, etc.) and in one month 960 conscious years.

A life even filled with the basics done at a frequency of 32 reps a day will be on average of 50 years X 365 days X 32 reps or 584,000 conscious years.

Therefore in as little as 8 minutes in the am and 8 minutes in the pm (all it takes for 32 repetitions) you can become much more focused, more advanced and higher consciously getting closer to cosmic consciousness and witness of divine self.

Why meditation creates realization

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

An important consideration regarding realizing God is the question why does Yoga work.

One has to examine the nature of meditation and the knowledge of wisdom to realize that by meditating (overcoming the senses, physical matter, memories, ideas, emotional, inputs and thoughts) the mind overcome, there is only space for the inner self.

Because masters and those who have realized God understand that the Soul (which is God) is found internally (Jesus: “the kingdom of heaven is within”) it should come as no surprise that mastering the mind either through postures (asana), meditation (dhyana) or mastering breath (pranayama) Samadhi which is single focus, superconsciousness, and yoke or linking to God the inner Soul occurs.

It is this silencing of eternal, internal, and even metaphysical “stuff” which occurs through Samadhi that allows for realization and witnessing of the internal true self (God).

There are a mutitude of ways to incorporate style of Yoga into daily life. Yoga pranayama (breathing), meditation, and postures are some of the most useful and powerful ways of realizing God.

One simple approach is to wake up 30-45 minutes early. Do some postures, pranayama, and meditation. Either go to bed later, or before going to bed do another series of pranayama and meditation.

Deep focus and meditation leads to Samadhi (the superconscious and breathless state) the conscious reality and realization of God.

Why Pranayama is so Powerful

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Pranayama or the art of mastering the breath. Why is it such an effective tool to bring about conscious, metaphysical, spiritual and materialistic success?

One cycle of in an out breath (repetition or one Kriya) moves kundalini or spiritual consciousness from the base spine up through each chakra moving around the 12 zodiac “signs”. In this way you evolve spiritually the equivalent of one full metaphysical and spiritual year.

Yogananda explained that it takes about 1 Million years of evolution to become realized. Doing 7-8 minutes (16 repetitions) in the morning and 7-8 minutes in the evening (16 repetitions), within one week you will have moved your consciousness 32X7 or 224 years (about 2 lifetimes). Within a year you would have altered your consciousness 11648 years (97 lifetimes), and within a lifetime (100 years) you would have altered your consciousness 1164800 years.

While little time involved (15 minutes a day) you will have moved through cosmic spiritual evolution moving into higher realizations. Things like telepathy, teleportation, levitation, manifesting, and cosmic realizations which many only dream of.

Make it the beginning of the greatest life you can start. The beginning of this year, make it a conscious resolution to add 15 minutes of pranayama each day (7-8 morning-16 repetitions, and 7-8 minutes evening-16 repetions).

A message of importance

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Why is one of the greatest revelations Jesus proclaimed a source of misconception, misunderstanding, and source of pain for so many? Let’s take a look at the Gospel of John (John 5:24)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

One should understand that this message was not a message regarding Jesus. It is the God consciousness which is pouring forth through the message and verbalization of mouth of Jesus which came (and still comes) from God.

Let us examine this verse. He that heareth my word (is this Jesus word? No. It is the cosmic AUM or Word of GOD). If it were Jesus word then people who were not alive at the time would not get to pass from death unto life. If you think this is absurd, I tell you please learn the English language-it would have read he that understands my words, pass from death to life.

Why is hearing the word or getting the Aum reverberating through your body of utmost importance? Hearing the Aum (Christians AMEN, Muslims Amin, Buddhist Hum, And Tibetan Amin) only occurs through opening and passing consciousness (spiritual energy and metaphysical life) through and opening (becoming self realized) the seventh or crown chakra. As the metaphysical storehouse of energy begins to open and spin (remember that chakras are vortex of spinning light) the inherent sound of spin (in the case of the seventh chakra-AUM) is internally heard.

In this way you also realize God, and in this way by believing (since what better is first hand experience for developing belief in GOD, than realizing and witnessing God firsthand) in God you become spiritualized (now a physical and spiritual body) entering the gates of heaven, and becoming immortalized in spirit.

On this blessed holiday season, spend a little self (God) searching time. Meditate, do pranayama, mantra, or even tantra, and become ready to witness the AUM. It is my gift to you to try the following pranayama.

Sit comfortably. Close the right nostril, and breath in through only the left. (Tongue up and rolled back to back of throat). Take in a maximal breath counting upwards. Then retain the maximum breath for twice as long as the inbreath was. After this breath out for half the inbreath count through the right nostril. Again hold this level of outbreath for a count twice the inbreath count. If you can sustain this hold you will realize AUM and open the seventh chakra and witness God.

Manifesting Soruba

Monday, October 12th, 2009

What is one of the only true ways to manifest Soruba Samadhi? The answer to this often times most misunderstood yoga topic is the understanding that Soruba is “shifted” by mastering Kriyas.

Kriyas or pranayama (yoga breathwork) is the key to mastery of Samadhi. There are no less that 57 different Pranayamas. Of those there are five main Kriyas or sequences of Pranayama (various different mental breathing techniques) which have in sequence have to be mastered to bring about mastery and development of Soruba Samadhi.

Why Soruba? Soruba brings with it Deathlessness, unfaulty Samadhi manifesting, the decent of the sixth dimensional chakras and the beginnings of developing Godliness.

In a future post Dr. Andrew Greszczyszyn will post greater details and the needed attributes or characteristics to enter and decent Soruba Samadhi.

In this post we will describe three keys.

1. Mastering of three to five Pranayamas. Mastery is entering Nirvikalpa Samadhi.
2. Desire to become deathless.
3. High Altitude Mastery of Five Pranayamas.
